Deep Impact News Flash

NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft collided with the comet Tempel 1. The following movie and images were taken by NHK's HDTV camera and the Cooled Mid-Infrared Camera and Spectrograph (COMICS) on the Subaru telescope (for more information, see this page). The data taken by COMICS has been made publicly available for astronomers all over the world through this page. The impact time is estimated to be at 7:52:03pm HST.
