The robotic system, Top Unit Exchanger, replaces secondary mirrors and instruments that are attached to the Prime Focus in the center of the telescope's Top Ring (the blue part shown in left picture). This movie is a scene about how two different secondary mirrors are being replaced by the Top Unit Exchanger.

Since the aluminum surface of the Subaru's primary mirror is exposed to the air, it becomes dusty little by little when we observe objects, so we carry out recoating work once every few years.
